PROHIBITIONS/WARNINGS
• Do not dry clean
• Avoid the use of soap and detergents, cleaning fluids or insecticides as they may damage the coating and promote leakage. If the canvas is machined washed, it may remove any coating or waterproofing properties from the surface. Never scrub the surface
• Do not store directly on concrete
• Do not expose to petrol, oil or solvents
• Ensure product is completely dry prior to storage
GENERAL CARE INSTRUCTION
Regular cleaning with plenty of water and a soft brush will remove most dust and dirt. Always clean from the lower edges of the fabric working upwards.
Canvas roofing should be cleaned regularly. Do not allow bird droppings, earth and or vegetable matter to remain in contact with the fabric. New canvas should be thoroughly wet before use and allowed to dry to ensure sealing up of the seams.
SPOT CLEANING/SPECIAL TREATMENTS
For the removal of mildew or more stubborn stains, use a proprietary brand of mildew remover, or mix 1 part household chlorine bleach to 4 parts water and sponge in to the canvas. Allow 15 minutes contact then hose or rinse thoroughly. With age, use and repeated cleaning, there will be a loss of waterproofness. The canvas can be reproofed by using the appropriate proofing agent that is recommended for each type of canvas.
