The message is… COVER UP! A message the cancer society has been promoting vigorously.

You will hardly go past an early child care centre these days without noticing a Sail Shade structure protecting our youth and this is becoming more prevalent in the private sector.

Appointed sole NZ distributor in 2000 for Australian based company POLYFAB AUSTRALIA PTY LTD W Wiggins has introduced a Domestic Weight (POLYFAB 90) and Commercial Weight (COMSHADE 90) knitted shade cloth fabric boasting 380cm of useable width. This has allowed fabricators to maximise a Sail Shade with little or no joins, giving a more aesthetically visual Sail.
Also in 2000 W Wiggins was appointed NZ distributor for SERGE FERRARI with a range of PVC (502 8000 series) and PVC coated polyester meshes (Soltis Air, Soltis 86, Soltis 92) adding a large colour range and technical variation to the shade fabric market.

A range of fabrics are available when it comes to shade, this will depend on the amount of U/V block you require. For example a solid PVC fabric will offer a 100% U/V block, whereas a mesh U/V block % will vary depending on the density and type of weave construction .

Sail Shades are now part of our society not only providing protection from the sun but also adding an architectural visual enhancement to any property or building. They can be made from a great selection of colours, shapes and fabrics providing warranties up to 10 years.
